THE KEY: CAIRO
THE KEY opened on the banks of the Nile at the Nile Art Gallery (the former studio of the famed film director Shadi Abdel Salam) with over 500 people in attendance by numerous art world, business, religious, diplomatic and governmental guests. Special guests included Egypt's former Minister of Culture, Dr. Farouk Hosny, Azza Fahmy (the celebrated jewelry designer in the Middle East), renowned Egyptian diplomat His Excellency Mustafa El Fiqi and General Mohamed Amin, Head of Egyptian Army's Financial Affairs. During the course of the exhibition, numerous Egyptian students attended, learning about the importance of embracing diversity regardless of religious or cultural differences. It was co-curated by Dr. Reda Abdel Rahman and Paul-Gordon Chandler.
