KHALIFA MANE
"The Path" - Painted Crocs Series

Khalifa Mané is a Senegalese artist born in the southern region of Casamance in 1998. He trained in the studio of French painter LeGuenne before leaving the École des Beaux-Arts in Dakar, rejecting academic rules to follow his own bold and committed path. His work tackles the paradoxes of a continent full of wealth yet left behind, giving voice to a young generation caught between frustration and the desire for change.
In this Crocs painting series, “The Path,” Khalifa uses dotted motifs to explore the journey of African youth in a divided world. The works reflect the transformative energy of young people across Africa, demanding justice and freedom, and also speak to those who leave home in search of a better life — a reality the artist challenges and brings to light through his work.
