I created this work with a heavy heart, yet with a semblance of hope for the future. My fears for our beautiful planet are tempered by the hope that the mistakes and selfishness of our generation will not be repeated by generations to come. And it appears that there is indeed a groundswell of youth who are ready to stand up and protect that which we abused. When I consider the work in the context of our current global pandemic, it seems even more relevant – the healing will come, and the young will climb on the shoulders of the elderly to forge a new world.
