THE BRIDGE: SPOKANE
The Bridge exhibition opened in Spokane, Washington, USA at the beautiful St. John’s Cathedral on June 5, 2016 with an opening reception with special guest speakers: Dr. Bassem Bejjani, Chair of the Washington State Arts Commission, Mr. Mamdouh El Aarag of the Spokane Islamic Center, Bishop, Jim Waggoner of the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane, The Very Revd Bill Ellis, Dean of St. John’s Cathedral, Rabbi Tamar Malino of Temple Beth Shalom in Spokane and Mr. Skyler Oberst, President, Spokane Interfaith Council.
The Bridge is a traveling exhibition presented by CARAVAN showcasing the work of 47 premier Arab, Persian, and Jewish contemporary visual artists from fifteen countries, of Muslim, Christian, and Jewish backgrounds. It focuses upon what bridges us to one another, as well as to what is held in common across creeds and cultures.
