In celebration of the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week, the Mediterranean Peace Donkey exhibition was held on the island of Gozo, Malta, in the heart of the Mediterranean, at the renowned Ta’ Pinu National Shrine, a revered place of pilgrimage for centuries.  Making a strong stand for peace through art, the 21 peace donkeys painted by premier Gozitan, Maltese, Egyptian and Western artists were showcased at Ta’ Pinu from 15 January through 28 February, 2016.

An official reception was held for the exhibition on 11 February January 2016 with the Minister for Gozo, The Honorable Dr. Anton Refalo, as the VIP guest. The reception was also attended by religious dignitaries, such as the Vicar General, Mgr. Tarcisio Camilleri, as well as art patrons and participating Maltese and Gozitan artists.
